Analysis of Multiple Origin Reporting to the Hispanic Origin Question in Census 2000 — This working paper examines people who reported more than one origin in response to the Census 2000 question on Hispanic origin. The demographic characteristics, as well as the geographic distribution, of this population is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to people who reported non-Hispanic and at least one Hispanic origin. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-November.)

2004 American Community Survey Data, Wave 2 — This data release adds more than 600 additional cross-tabulations to the 209 base tables on various socioeconomic topics released in August. The additional cross-tabulations include data on the characteristics of different race and Hispanic groups.

Foreign-Born Population in the United States: 2004 — Tabulations from the 2004 American Community Survey, highlighting areas with the highest concentrations of foreign-born residents. The data profiles will show demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of each area’s foreign-born population, including year of entry, region of birth, ancestry and language spoken at home. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-December.)

 

Survey-Related

Fertility of American Women: June 2004 — Profiles current fertility patterns of American women by age, race, ethnicity, education, marital status, income and nativity. Also contains labor force participation data by fertility status. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-November.)

Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE): 2003 — Estimates of population and poverty for school districts, as well as income and poverty estimates for states and counties. Included are estimates of the number of poor children ages 5 to 17 in the nation’s 15,000 school districts. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-November.)

Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2006 — Latest edition of the national data book, a perennial government best seller, published since 1878. This edition introduces 80 news tables, including several from the American Community Survey. In recognition of this being the 125th edition, historical tables are included at the beginning of each section to highlight related data first appearing in earlier editions. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-December.)

2002 Economic Census: Subject Series — Fifty-seven reports for several industry sectors – all at the national level – are now being issued on a flow basis. These reports include information such as product shipments by contributing industries. All 883 geographic area series reports and 651 industry reports have been published. Survey-Related

Consolidated Federal Funds Report for Fiscal Year 2004 (State and County Areas) — Only consolidated source of data on the geographic distribution of federal expenditures, by state, county and subcounty area. (Tentatively scheduled for release late-November.)

2004 Service Annual Survey: Securities, Commodities and Other Financial Investments — Tabulations contain revenues for securities and commodity underwriters; dealers and brokers; and other financial industries. (Tentatively scheduled for release late-November.)

Facts for Features

Facts for Features: African-American History Month — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas about the African-American community. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-December.)
