Census Brief: The Foreign-Born Population: 2000 — Documents dramatic increase in the foreign-born population during the 1990s, with data summaries for the nation, regions, states, large cities and counties. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 14.)

Census 2000 Special EEO Tabulation (CD-ROM and Internet) — Census 2000 tables accessible via the Internet on the number of people employed in more than 400 occupations. Internet data are available by residence and work site. Additional data on worker flows from residence to work site are available on CD-ROM. Data are summarized for counties, metropolitan areas and places with populations of 50,000 or more. Data also provided by race and Hispanic origin. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 21.)

Non-Census

Dynamics of Well-Being: Program Participation, Who Gets Assistance: 1996-1999 — Focuses on participation levels and participant characteristics in six means-tested, public assistance programs immediately before and after federal welfare reform was enacted. National-level data only. (Scheduled for release on Dec. 19.)

National, State and Puerto Rico Population Estimates: 2003 — Internet tables showing
July 1, 2003, population estimates and components of change for the nation, states and Puerto Rico. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 14.)

Data Collection in January for Quarterly Consumer Expenditure Survey — In January, Census Bureau interviewers will contact a national sample of randomly selected households in a survey that measures what Americans spend on groceries, clothing, health care and housing. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 14.)

Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2003 — Latest edition of the national data book, a perennial government best-seller, first published in 1878. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Jan. 4.)

Economic

2002 Service Annual Survey: Health Care and Social Assistance Sector — Data on revenues by ambulatory health-care services, hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing and residential-care facilities, and social assistance. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 14.)

2002 Service Annual Survey: Truck Transportation, Couriers and Messengers, and Warehousing and Storage Sector — Data on general freight trucking, couriers and local messengers, warehousing and storage, size and origin of shipments, and commodities handled. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Jan. 4.)

2002 Service Annual Survey — Data on four industry groups: Arts, Entertainment
and Recreation (including performing arts, spectator sports, museums, amusement parks and gambling); Administrative Support and Waste Management (including travel and reservation services, security, employment and business support services); Other (including automotive repair shops, personal care and laundry services); and Rental and Leasing (including automotive equipment and leasing, consumer goods rental, commercial machinery and equipment rental). (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Jan. 4.)
