Migration of the Young, Single and College Educated: 1995 to 2000 — One in a series of migration reports based on Census 2000 results examines where young college grads were moving over a five-year period. Data are for metropolitan areas. (Scheduled for release on Nov. 3.) Census Brief: Structural and Occupancy Characteristics of American Homes: 2000 — A review of the types of American homes, when they were built, when householders moved in and the number of occupants per room. The report includes state and selected local data on occupancy of housing units by nativity, race and ethnicity. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 16.) Census Brief: The Arab Population: 2000 — National, regional, state, county and selected place-level data on people who reported an Arab ancestry in Census 2000, with additional information on the largest Arab groups. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 16.) Census Brief: The Foreign Born Population: 2000 — Documents dramatic increase in the foreign-born population during the 1990s, with information for the nation, regions, states, large cities and counties. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 23.)

Facts for Features: Thanksgiving Day — Statistics from the Census Bureau's demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to Thanksgiving. (Scheduled for release on Nov. 13.) Custodial Mothers and Fathers and Their Child Support: 2001 — National data on single parents and their income between 1993 and 2001. The report discusses the impact of welfare reform on participation in public assistance programs. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 16.) Children and the Households They Live In: 2000 — Social and economic characteristics of the nation's 72 million children. Summary data for the nation, states and some large cities range from children living in their grandparents' household to those living with foreign-born householders. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 23.) International Brief: Global Population at a Glance: 2002 and Beyond — This look ahead at worldwide population trends ranging up to 2050 summarizes two reports being released simultaneously,: Global Population Profile: 2002 and The AIDS Pandemic in the 21st Century. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 23.) Survey of Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates for School Districts: 2000 — Estimates of population and poverty for school districts. Included are estimates of the total population and the number of children ages 5-17 who are living in poverty. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 23.) Mini Historical Statistics — Series of 55 tables with historical statistics on demographic and economic topics such as population, education, immigration, crime, energy supply, stock prices and federal government receipts. Many of the tables contain data going back to 1900. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 23.) |
