Census Brief: Geographical Mobility: 1995-2000 — Moving rates and types of moves of the 5 years old-and-older population for the nation, regions, states (including Puerto Rico), counties and selected metropolitan areas. Also shows movers by race and Hispanic origin. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 23.)

Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) Files (5 Percent) — Census 2000 files containing individual long-form questionnaires for a 5 percent sample of people and housing units. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 24: Alabama, District of Columbia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio and Oklahoma.)

Census Brief: Language Use and English Ability: 2000 Estimates of the number of people who spoke a language other than English at home in 2000, with emphasis on Spanish speakers. National and state data, with ranking of top 10 cities with the highest proportions of people speaking another language at home. Includes 1990 data. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 28.)

Migration by Race and Hispanic Origin: 1995 to 2000 — Examines and compares general mobility patterns and redistribution of people by race and Hispanic origin at the regional, division and state levels. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 28.)

Census Brief: Grandparents Living with Children: 2000 — Census 2000 data on the population age 30 and over living in households with grandchildren, including population characteristics for regions, states, counties and 10 largest cities. Also geographic distribution of co-resident grandparents, grandparent caregivers and length of time they cared for their grandchildren. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 12.)

Migration of the Young, Single and College Educated: 1995 to 2000 — One in a series of migration reports based on Census 2000 results examines where young college grads moved to over a five-year period. Data are for metropolitan areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 12.)

Census Brief: Marital Status: 2000 Patterns of marital status by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin; ratios of unmarried men to unmarried women; and changes in marital status observed since the 1950 census. Data summarized for the nation, regions, states, counties and cities with 100,000 or more people. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 12.)

Census 2000 Testing, Experimentation and Evaluation Program Report Series 03/03 to 11/03 — Information about the effectiveness of Census 2000 operations designed to assist planning for the 2010 Census, the American Community Survey, the Master Address File and other censuses and surveys. Tests cover census enumeration techniques, experiments with different questionnaires and ways to respond, an administrative records experiment and nearly 90 evaluations of key operations, systems and activities of Census 2000. Relevant findings from the tests, evaluations, experiments and other research are synthesized in reports that address broad issues and make recommendations for the 2010 Census. Non-Census

Income and Poverty in the United States: 2002 — Separate reports providing the latest national and state findings on income and poverty levels. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 26.)

Supplemental Measures of Material Well-Being: Expenditures, Consumption and Poverty 1998 and 2001 — A description of some possible next steps in the Census Bureau's decades-long investigation into the measurement of poverty. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 26.)

Fact Sheet: Setting the Tone for Dialing for Dollars — Facts on the telemarketing industry and telephone usage, in connection with the response to the national "do not call" list announced earlier this year. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 29.)

Health Insurance Coverage: 2002 — Annual report on those who have health insurance and those who do not and their characteristics. National and state data. (Scheduled for release on Sept. 30.)

Mini Historical Statistics — Series of 55 tables with historical statistics on demographic and economic topics such as population, education, immigration, crime, energy supply, stock prices and federal government receipts. Many of the tables contain data going back to 1900. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 21.)

Data Collection in October for Quarterly Consumer Expenditure Survey — In October, Census Bureau interviewers will conduct quarterly interviews of a national sample of randomly selected households in a survey that measures how much Americans spend on groceries, clothing, health care and housing. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 21.)

Next Wave of Interviewing in Survey of Income and Program Participation — In October, interviewers visit a national sample of randomly selected households to ask about household wealth, health insurance coverage, employment, income and other topics. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 21.)

Children and the Households They Live In: 2000 — Social and economic characteristics of the nation's 72 million children. Summary data for the nation, states and some large cities range from children living in their grandparents' household to those living with foreign-born householders. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 5.)

Moving to America - Moving to Homeownership: 1994-2002 — Data on homeownership by citizenship, race and ethnicity, region of birth and year of entry into the United States, from 1994 to 2002. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 5.)

Current Population Survey Data Collection — Survey of randomly selected households in monthly update of employment and yearly update of school enrollment data. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 12.)

Custodial Mothers and Fathers and Their Child Support: 2000 National data on single parents and the income they received between 1993 and 2001. The report also has information on the impact of welfare reform on participation in public assistance programs. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 19.)

Fertility of American Women: June 2002 — Profiles current fertility patterns of American women by age, race, ethnicity, education, marital status, income and nativity. Also participation labor force by fertility status. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 19.)


Economic

Receipt of Rental Subsidies: 1993 and 1999 — National estimates of government-sponsored programs providing direct and indirect rental assistance for low-income families. Includes housing assistance, food stamps, public assistance, employment transitions, income and family composition for years 1993 and 1999. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 28.)

2002 Annual Survey of State and Local Government Employment and Payroll — Summary data on the number of employees and gross payrolls by government function for the nation, states and the District of Columbia. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Sept. 28.)

Multimedia

Hispanic Heritage Month — An ensemble of downloadable digital tools and data links, providing elements for broadcast and print stories alike on this monthlong celebration of the nation's largest minority population. Elements include a streaming-video version of a video news release, plus downloadable radio sound bites, in English and Spanish, and photographs with Hispanic population data references built into the captions.
