Item 2.2: "Substitute Care Providers" includes child day care providers. "Other" includes probation officers and clergy. Item 3.2: The number of children for whom allegations or risks of maltreatment were unsubstantiated is estimated. Item 4.1: "Neglect" includes physical neglect, lack of supervision, educational neglect, and abandonment. Item 5.1: Seven of the victims came from child abuse and neglect reports, and five victims were presented by the Clark County Child Death Review Team. The child death review teams are streamlining the reporting system. Item 6.1: "Residential Facility Staff" includes child day care providers. Items 7.1 and 7.2: Types of workers include intake/assessment staff, investigators, and ongoing caseworkers. These numbers are a total from the State and Clark and Washoe Counties. In Nevada, counties with populations in excess of 100,000 are allowed to maintain their own social service systems. As a result, three data streams must be considered for each data item. |
