READ Customer Agencies

The first orders to be issued under the READ services contract occurred in May, 2005, for recycling requirements associated with EPA's Headquarters, RTP, and Region 4 (Atlanta) offices. Since then, the following Agencies have used READ services to fulfill their electronic recycling requirements:

  1. Department of Education
  2. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF)
  3. National Park Service (NPS)
  4. Department of Energy, Pacific Northwest Laboratories (PNL)
  5. Railroad Retirement Board
  6. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
  7. Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB)
  8. Environmental Protection Agency
  9. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

To date, the most successful task order has been the efforts put forth by Molam, Inc. to properly dispose of over 20M lbs. of electronics on behalf of FEMA for the recovery efforts taking place in the Gulf Coast region as a result of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The following Powerpoint summarizes the efforts and accomplishments under that task order.
