Motivation to Serve - 1
Motivation to Serve - I

"In 2001, after the terrorist attacks on our Nation, I came to realize that during these turbulent times, our country needs people who will step out to be the leaders and defenders of our land and our freedoms. Ever since the founding of our Nation, the Coast Guard has been ‘always prepared’ to defend us. It has been the bulwark of our homeland defense, and the hard nucleus of our naval strength abroad. To enter the Coast Guard Academy would be the utmost honor as I step up to join that tradition of the greatest men and women to live, sacrifice, and die for the sake of our country.”
