The following is a daily text product issued by the OHRFC: ZCZC CRWHMDTIR CESTTAA00 KTIR DDHHMM Ohio River Basin Hydrometeorological Discussion Ohio River Forecast Center, Wilmington, Ohio 200 PM EDT Monday, August 24, 2009 ...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION... High pressure over the Ohio Valley will keep widespread rainfall out of the region through midweek, except for some scattered showers possible this afternoon over the Appalachians. A cold front will slowly sag southward toward the northern basin on Tuesday night and could bring some thunderstorms to the northern basin by Wednesday. This activity will slowly sink further south to near the Ohio River by late in the work week. ...FLOOD POTENTIAL DISCUSSION... The flood potential will remain low in the Ohio Valley through midweek. ...24-HR OBSERVED PRECIPITATION USED FOR TODAY'S RIVER FORECASTS... Scattered, light rain occurred yesterday and over night in the eastern third of the Ohio Valley. Resulting rainfall amounts were light. ...24-HOUR FORECAST PRECIPITATION USED FOR TODAY'S RIVER FORECASTS...
