Comments: Golden Currant (Vis. 1) is hardy and forms
suckers. It tolerates a range of light exposures and soil
types. The plant tolerates shearing, and it can be used on
difficult sites. The tubular, yellow (Vis. 2), fragrant
flowers appear in mid-spring just after the leaves. Dark
purple fruits are also produced but are not ornamental. The
fall color is red.
