Visit us at the Grundy County Environmental Fair Saturday
The NWS Chicago Forecast Office will have a table at the 18th Annual Grundy County Environmental Fair this Saturday March 7. The fair will run from 10 AM to 3 PM and be held at the Minooka High School South Campus located at 26655 W Eames St in Channahon, IL.
The NWS table will have information on severe weather safety to help you and your family prepare for the upcoming severe weather season. We will also have information on the NWS NOAA Weather Radio program. NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Did you receive or purchase a new weather radio recently? Are you having problems programming it? Bring in your weather radio and the staff will help program it for you.
