New "Point and Click" forecasts for the Great Lakes

"Point and Click" forecasts have been available recently for land forecasts, which are text forecasts generated directly from the National Digital Forecast Database.  These are point-specific forecasts generated "on-the-fly" from gridded fields prepared by National Weather Service meteorologists.

"Point and Click" forecasts are now available for locations on the Great Lakes as well!  In the past, clicking on a marine location gave you the "zone" forecast for a given near-shore zone or open lake zone.  Now, when you click on a marine location in the map on our home page, a forecast will be generated for that specific location.  This functionality is available for locations on any of the Great Lakes.  This will allow you to see more specialized forecasts for a particular point.
