Strong Tornadoes Confirmed From Last Thursday’s Storms in northeast Wisconsin

While severe thunderstorms produced damaging winds and flooding rains over Lake County Illinois last Thursday night, it’s clear now that northern Illinois and northwest Indiana largely dodged a bullet and missed the worst of the severe weather. National Weather Service damage assessment teams have completed storm surveys from a couple of strong tornadoes that struck Wisconsin Thursday afternoon, including an EF-3 tornado that was on the ground for more than 40 miles! For more information on this tornado from the NWS Green Bay click here, with additional information on another strong tornado to strike Wisconsin that day available here.
