The ultimate goal of this program announcement is to build a body of science in symptom cluster identification and intervention in cancer and in immune disorders (acquired or autoimmune). This announcement invites applications to (a) identify and assess biobehavioral characteristics of symptom clusters, or (b) design and test interventions that lead to clear outcomes. A rationale for the choice of a symptom cluster is needed, not just co-occurrence of two or more symptoms. Studies at any point in the disease trajectory, or during the survivorship period, are encouraged.
Eligible organizations include for-profit and not-for-profit, public or private organizations, units of state and local governments, eligible agencies of the federal government, domestic or foreign institutions/organizations,
