Mayor's Office of Education Coordination

Our mission in the Mayor’s Education Office is to provide advocacy and support on behalf of the citizens of Albuquerque on education issues affecting the Albuquerque Public Schools, charter and private schools and, higher education institutions.

The Education Office works with parents, students, school officials, the business community, and community organizations to ensure that Albuquerque's kids are getting the best education possible. Our goal is to equip Albuquerque’s students to compete in the twenty-first century global economy.

Education Coordinator Paul E. Broome

Paul Broome serves as the Mayor’s Education Coordinator. Mr. Broome earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo (NY). He taught mathematics and business subjects with the Buffalo, New York, Public School District and served as a field representative with the New York State United Teachers.
