The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has well-documented scientific issues that can provide excellent educational opportunities for teachers and students. The Science Ambassador Program partners your public health expertise with the expertise of current and future teachers to create innovative, relevant, and exciting lesson plans for middle and high school students on your topics. At the completion of the program, participating teachers will have developed and tested two to three lesson plans for middle and high school students based on your presentation!
The Science Ambassador Program is a chance for you to work directly with our customers, affect teachers and students in a positive manner, and foster a love for various public health programs in both teachers and students. You will be helping to develop a cadre of dynamic and committed public health professionals. Please note, at this time, Science Ambassador Lecturer positions are open to CDC staff only.
What you will gain
- Lesson plans that have been developed and tested by exemplary teachers
