This detailed table shows the amounts provided for the programs and activities of the Department of Education at each major step in the FY 2010 legislative process. It also shows funding provided in FY 2009 appropriations and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the amounts requested in the President's FY 2010 Budget.

  • Summary of ED Discretionary Funding FY 2008-2010 President's Budget (last updated 04/27/2009) in PDF [8KB] and MS Excel [20KB]. Two tables provide a summary of discretionary funding for Department of Education programs by education level (elementary and secondary, postsecondary, and other programs) for fiscal years 2008, FY 2009, the Recovery Act and the FY 2010 President's Budget. The first table reflects the President's proposal to fund Federal Pell Grants on a mandatory basis, and the second assumes continuation of the pre-2010 policy for Pell Grants.
