City trail maps can be mailed to you by calling Municipal Development at (505) 768-2680. They can also be obtained for free at any bike shop in Albuquerque.
Would you like to know more about bike routes/laws, riding in traffic, fixing a flat? Then consider signing up for City of Albuquerque’s Park and Recreations Bicycling 101. This is a comprehensive class for adults (children 12 or older considered with parents or guardians) certified by the League of American Cyclist. Advanced Mechanics Class Date: Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 (9 AM - 1 PM)
Description: Any group interested in hosting a bike safety clinic for youth ages 7-10 can call (505) 768-BIKE (2453) to schedule a Bike Rodeo. This program will teach the child how to "drive" their bike safely through a safety talk and a hands-on experience. The lessons learned will teach the
child how to avoid injuries as they drive their bike. ODR will provide bikes, helmets, props, signs, and the best instructor in the country. Groups must provide at least 15 youth, a smooth surface (parking lot or basketball court) and some adult help.
