In the Spotlight

Wet Gulch Prescribed Burn Completed:  The Cottonwood Field Office completed the Wet Gulch Unit 6 prescribed burn on April 25, with assistance from Nez Perce National Forest fire personnel and local contractors.  The 24-acre unit was burned to reduce slash hazard created by timber harvest activities in the Salmon River drainage.

Annual Interpretive Float Trip:  The annual BLM-sponsored Outfitter Interpretive trip on the Lower Salmon River from Hammer Creek to Heller Bar was held April 24–27.  BLM organizes and provides a float down the river to commercial outfitters and guides to teach them about the river this trip.
