Bus Stop Shelters and Improvements

Project Description:

NewBusShelterThe City is proposing to buy and install at least 450 new solar-powered bus stop shelters and to make needed bus stop improvements at locations throughout the metro area. The exact locations of the new shelters will be based on ridership and necessity. ABQ Ride currently has almost 3,000 bus stops of which only 200 include shelters. As transit service expands, so does the need for comfortable and safe bus stops.
