Sell to the Thriving Beauty Industry in Asia: Exhibit at Cosmoprof Asia, November 11-13, 2009 Hong Kong
- 15 Asia Pacific countries combined cosmetics and toiletries market size of USD44 billion; the U.S. supplies 3%.
- China has since last year overtaken Japan as the region's largest cosmetics and toiletries market, followed by Japan, South Korea, and India.
- Hong Kong is the most open market in the Asia Pacific for selling cosmetics and toiletries: zero import duties, no registration/labeling requirement; a showcase and gateway for the Chinese market.
The Show:
In its 14th year, Cosmoprof Asia
2009, is the largest, most prestigious international
beauty trade event in Asia. The Asia version of Cosmoprof
Bologna, it is considered the trend-setting beauty and wellness
event in the Asia Pacific region with its comprehensive
international beauty products ranging from cosmetics, perfumery
and toiletries to professional skin and hair salon products and
equipment, packaging, raw materials, machinery, private label and
contract manufacturing. Almost 40,000 buyers attended the
2008 show that featured 1,357 exhibitors, including 50 from the
U.S. In the 2009 show, we expect that the U.S.
Pavilion to have 50 exhibitors. Despite the economic
downturn in 2008, the show registered an increase in the
number of exhibitors as well as visitors compared with the
previous year.
