 Annual ORR Reports to Congress - 1997
World Relief is a subsidiary corporation of the National Association of Evangelicals, which represents 47 member denominations, 26 individual congregations from other denominations and some independent churches as well.
During FY 1997, World Relief resettled approximately 9,800 refugees and Asylum through its network of affiliate offices and sponsoring churches.
The majority of World Relief's caseload in this past year consisted of Soviet Evangelical Christians and Bosnian refugees. Significant numbers of Vietnamese, Somali, Cuban, and Iraqi refugees comprised the remainder of the caseload.
