Nevada Incentives and Laws
Last Updated December 2008
The Nevada legislature meets in odd-numbered years and convenes on the first Monday in February. During the session, the governor must sign or veto legislation within five days after the day following transmittal (except Sundays) or it becomes law without signature. If the legislature is adjourned at the time of transmittal, the governor must act within ten days after adjournment (except Sundays) or the legislation becomes law without the governor's signature. Bills vetoed after adjournment are returned to the legislature for possible veto override in the next session.
