Saint Mary's University of Minnesota

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is dedicated to advancing the educational and career goals of today’s students.  Founded in 1912, Saint Mary’s is a private, Catholic, four year, co-educational, residential, liberal arts institution, guided by the De La Salle Christian Brothers since 1933.  Its beautiful 400-acre campus overlooks the city of Winona and the upper Mississippi Valley.

It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (www.ncahlc.org).  Saint Mary’s enrolls 1,400 undergraduate students who represent a wide range of interests, backgrounds, and religious faiths.  Undergraduate academic programs include 57 majors divided in 22 departments.  It also offers several pre-professional, post-graduate (master’s) programs, English Language Bridge Program (ELB) that offers international students an opportunity for early admission to the university, and Intensive English as a Second Language (ESL).

Saint Mary’s University will award a $12,000 per year International Student Cultural Diversity Scholarship to all qualified and accepted undergraduate students.

DARE TO COMPARE Saint Mary’s to the larger universities.  We are small in numbers so we can be big in everything else – things like access, opportunity and relationships that last.
