Census 2000 Tabulation Geographic Entity Counts


The Census Bureau is providing tallies showing the number of geographic entities for which it tabulated data from Census 2000. These tallies document the number of entites in existence on January 1, 2000. The geographic entities include American Indian areas, Alaska Native areas, Hawaiian home lands, states and statistically equivalent entities, counties and statistically equivalent entities, county subdivisions (minor civil divisions, census county divisions, unorganized territories, and census subareas), places (consolidated cities, incorporated places, and census designated places), census tracts, block groups, blocks, voting districts, state legislative districts (upper and lower chambers), traffic analysis zones (TAZ), school districts, and ZIP Code® Tabulation Areas (ZCTATM).
