Aircraft Ground Support Equipment Electricification
Project Description:
The majority of the existing aircraft ground support equipment at the Albuquerque International Sunport are fueled with either diesel or gasoline. This project is intended to assist airlines with funding towards the purchase of new electric aircraft ground support equipment. The project will involve replacing diesel-powered ground support equipment with electric equipment. The electrification of ground support equipment will provide significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and help the Aviation Department move towards its goal of carbon neutrality by the year 2030.
