Do you have Premature Ovarian Failure? Doctors at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are conducting a clinical research program whose goal is to develop improved treatments for young women with premature ovarian failure (POF). These studies will also help doctors and patients learn more about POF. In the past POF has inaccurately been referred to as premature menopause. Our research is clarifying how POF differs from menopause.
