(BDIS) uses the birth defects data it collects to improve services
for affected children and to evaluate prevention strategies. The
BDIS also works with many partners, including Minnesota Department
of Health programs; community groups, such as the Folic Acid Council
and the March of Dimes; the Minnesota Children with Special Needs
