Emergency Deployment Generic Health and Safety Plan (HASP)
This Plan has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of Occupational
Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations (29 Code of Federal
Regulations (CFR) 1910 and 29 CFR 1926) and the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER) Directive
9355.3-01. The primary goal of this Work Plan and HASP is to define policies
and procedures outlining safe and healthful working conditions for personnel
and the public during field investigations and assessments. This Plan is
intended to encompass most health and safety procedures that may be used
in current and future investigations/responses, with the understating that
this template will be modified with incident specific information before
being utilized. All personnel performing field activities will be required
to read and understand the incident specific version of this Plan and follow
the policies and procedures. A copy of the incident specific Plan will
be maintained in all vehicles assigned to the field team. This Plan is
developed for specific conditions, purposes, and personnel and must be
amended if conditions change.
