Building a Presence for Science
The mission of Building a Presence for Science is to end the isolation of classroom science teachers and to provide them with professional development opportunities and science teaching resources. The goals of the program are to identify a Point of Contact for standards-based science teaching and learning in every school; establish an electronic network of science educators; and create an infrastructure of national and state partners who are advocates for effective science teaching and learning.
