My credit score was adversly affected by a bankruptcy due to a divorce and job loss. Bank One/First USA has falsly reported my discharged account as a charge-off with a balance instead of the zero balance with a bankruptcy notation. I am a teacher and Air Force Reservist trying to get back on my feet. I have no money to fight the corporate lawyers and they know this. Hence, my credit scores have taken a fall since their unlawful credit reporting has taken ahold of my future. Bankruptcy was supposed to give me a fresh start. Instead, Bank One and First USA are lowering my FICA scores thus making me pay higher interest rates and fees. Again, I am a teacher and Air Force Reservist trying to get back on my feet . But due to unfair credit reporting, the aspect of owning a home in my community anytime soon is not looking good. I teach kids for our future, and I protect freedom as a reservist. Where is there someone in the government to protect me from corporate abuse? Steve Greene
