Subject: "U.S.-made"

I am a retired IBM'er with thirty years experience in the Materials

World. I am currently a Director for the leading Integrated Materials

Management Company in the United States. My current salary is well in

excess of $100,000 per year. I provide the above profile for your

consideration of my following comments. I did not want you to think I am

a union activist or liberal/communist. I was raised under the concept

of "World Peace through World Trade" but no longer believe this is

accurate as currently practiced. I am not in support of a one world

government or the attributes this would suggest in the re-leveling of

wealth through out the world. I am also a strong believer in "truth". I

shop for products advertising "Made In the USA" on the belief that

supporting our home made goods supports our country and people. I will

be disappointed if I see that "Made In the USA" is only a half truth. We

need some credibility in our government and our advertising. I am

apposed to any change in this labeling and will watch to see if my

response is heard, or ignored. Please keep honesty in labeling and focus

on the best interest of the people and not the corporations.
