Your Participation is Needed Now, More Than Ever —
To Reach the Goal of Substantially Eradicating Scrapie from the U.S. by 2010

Sheep HeadIn 2001 the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced an accelerated program to eradicate scrapie in the nation's sheep herds and goat flocks.  This program is succeeding, but, to meet the goal of substantially eradicating the disease by the end of 2010, the cooperation of sheep and goat producers everywhere is needed.

The National Scrapie Eradication Program (NSEP) coordinated by the USDA is a joint effort that includes participation by state governments and industry, particularly producers.
