Dryden Closure Instructions

Employee Procedures for Determining if Dryden is Open for a Normal Workday

On mornings when it appears that that the weather is severe enough that driving to work may be hazardous, or if an emergency condition exists at Dryden and/or Building 703 (DAOF), Dryden officials will inform the resident staff whether or not to come to work that day.

To get up to date information dial the Dryden Event Line (661-276-2777).  A recorded message will be provided.  If the telephone lines are out of order, or if additional information is desired, tune to one of the radio stations listed below and monitor for travel conditions. Do not call Dryden Security or Operator for workday status.

Information regarding travel conditions or closure notices will also be posted on the Dryden public web site:  http://www.nasa.gov/centers/dryden/home/index.html

During normal working hours when weather may threaten safe passage from Dryden to the surrounding cities, information will be broadcast over the Dryden and/or Building 703 (DAOF) public address system.

Local radio stations, television stations, and internet sites also broadcast updated road and weather conditions periodically throughout their broadcast.
