To increase transparency to the field and assist commands and supervisors with the administrative process relating to troubled and at risk officers, CG PSC (opm-1) presents the Special Board information in one area.

Here you will find the the types of Special Boards and Panels, the relevant Coast Guard Personnel Manual Article, officer accession type, who has initiating authority, outcome options, final decision authority, officer's reply period to proposed Special Board action, Special Board and Panel Membership, and the number of days to separate for each board type. Additionally, there are templates provided to guide you through the process.
