Brief project summary:
The goal of this project is to foster and enhance Pacific Northwest (PNW) regional partnerships to grow constituencies and develop and implement governance structures and business plans that will permit official federal certification of NANOOS as the PNW Regional Association. This will allow for the eventual installation and long-term maintenance of a PNW Regional Coastal Ocean Observing System to address the ocean observing and prediction needs of users in Washington, Oregon, and northern California and establish strong links to British Columbia and Alaska observing programs.
