Therapeutic Recreation Program

Therapeutic Recreation programs are offered throughout the city for persons with and without disabilities, age 6 through adult. The program offers a variety of services that may include: art, leisure education, performing arts, gross motor activities, and games. The Loma Linda Community Center was remodeled to house the administrative offices for the Therapeutic Recreation program. The Center provides fully inclusive programs for youth and adults with and without disabilities. The dates and times of programs vary according to the specific program. Therapeutic Recreation Summer Program

Therapeutic Recreation offers Summer Recreation Program every year to school age children (from 6 years old) and youth at Loma Linda Community Center and some schools. Summer Recreation Program is offered for six to eight weeks, from June to July.

Registration is required and will be done on a first-come-first-served basis. Once we reach our limit, any additional registration forms will be placed in a waiting list.

There is a $25.00 special event fee required for each participant to cover the cost of field trips, special events and swimming. There is no weekly fee to attend this program during regular hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

Therapeutic Recreation also charges for extended summer program hours from 7:00am to 9:00 am, and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

2010 Therapeutic Recreation Summer Program registration and program dates are posted in March or early April.
