To help NRCS conservation professionals and other conservation partners and planners, the Air Quality and Atmospheric Change and Energy National Technology Development Teams, in cooperation with the National Leader for Climate Change and the National Employee Development Center, have developed a course, Air Quality, Climate Change, and Energy that is now available through AgLearn. The course will help you understand the terminology and basics of air quality, climate change, and energy and their connection to the planning and implementation of conservation practices to benefit the land.
The course is available to all NRCS employees, partners, and technical
service providers. View a video explaining the Air Quality,

The National Leadership Development Program
continued its dynamic program with the second of four residential
sessions. The 30 participants met in Albuquerque, New Mexico for their
Cohort Workshop July 27-31, 2009. In addition, all nine coaches
attended the session for one or two days to coach their clients and
further hone their coaching skills. This session included developing
competencies for emotional intelligence and oral presentation skills,
developing group dynamics and teambuilding competencies by working on
their action learning projects, and gaining an awareness of the
individual leadership model concept.
