CBBB is the umbrella organization for more than 150 Better Business Bureau offices in North America. Lack of trust in commercial websites has impeded the development of electronic commerce exports. CBBB will develop and register international standards for e-commerce practices. The creation of a single, high-level Code of Online Practices as a recognized global trustmark will increase U.S. e-exporting by eliminating trust barriers. The Code of Online Practices will cover, among other things, advertising, sales practices, information privacy and security, customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
