Requirements: Graduate of an approved school of veterinary medicine or holder of ECFVG certificate. Pass the national and state examination.
2 yr. licensing period (even years, Nov. 1) Fees vary yearly.
Continuing education requirements: 16 hours per year.
Licensure by Endorsement: Colorado will accept National Board scores with no additional exam - Fees vary yearly. See American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB), 1-877-698-8482.

National exams are given twice a year in December and April.
Artificial insemination and transplantation of animals is deregulated, but shall be performed according to accepted clinical standards.
