All product sales are subject to sales tax. Contact the Department of Revenue regarding sales tax licensing regardless of whether a business sells retail, wholesale, on consignment or at events. If the business sells only at wholesale, it must obtain a standard sales tax license and pay the $16 license fee, but is not required to pay the $50 deposit. Businesses registered as wholesalers will receive one return in December with which to remit any taxes collected during the year on limited retail sales.
