An individual may not use the professional title Dietitian, "D," or Certified Dietitian, "CD," unless they have:
Completed 900 hours of supervised training under a certified dietitian, or
Have received a certificate from the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).

CADE is the American Dietetics Association's accrediting agency for education programs preparing students for careers as registered dietitians (RD) or dietetics technicians (DTR). Contact the Commission for certification requirements.
