Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Interactive Mapping

Interactive Mapping allows users to view, interact with, and analyze spatial and hazards data to determine the locations of vulnerable people, property, and natural resources within Brevard and Volusia Counties, Florida. Each of the analyses in the Risk and Vulnerability Assessment has an interactive mapping component which provides data specific to that analysis. Also included in this section are the Floodplain Management Analysis, the Parcel Analysis, and Hazards Locator Tool interactive maps.

Note: Javascript must be activated in the browser to view the Interactive Mapping section. If the maps and interface do not display correctly, follow the instructions below on activating Javascript in the browser.

Activating Javascript to View the Interactive Mapping Section Instructions

The Interactive Mapping section uses Javascript to perform tasks such as loading maps, operating tools, and navigating to other sections. If you would like to view Interactive Mapping and your browser supports Javascript, please activate Javascript by following the instructions below depending upon your browser type.

Internet Explorer Browser

To activate Javascript, go to the tool bar in your browser, select Tools > Internet Options. Select the Security Tab and then click on the Internet icon. Next click on the Custom Level button which will display a dialog box with options. Scroll down the list until you find the option that reads Active Scripting, under the Scripting section. Select the Enable option under Active Scripting. Lastly, click OK, yes, OK and then in your browser click on the Refresh button. This will refresh the page and should activate Javascript. You should be able to visit the Interactive Mapping Section after completing these tasks.

Netscape Browser

To activate Javascript, go to the tool bar in your browser, select Edit > Preferences. Select the Advanced Section from the list and click it. Next check on the Enable Javascript box. Finally in your browser click on the Reload button. This will reload the page and Javascript should be activated.
