Police Technical Services
Project Description:
The Albuquerque Police Department's (APD) major deliverables for this project are the hiring of critical personnel, the implementation of technology to improve information collection and storage, to replace parts that are expiring on APD’s helicopter and to acquire ballistic vests to protect our officers and cadets.
APD will use a majority of the funding to fill critical positions within the Department. The positions are strategic. Once filled, they place the Department in a better position to acquire and manage additional grant funding, improve technology, reduce DNA backlog and prevent crimes.
