The Ditching Committee of the Town of Newstead was formed to plan, control and develop the annual effort in cleaning the ditches and small streams in the town. This board will assist the town in its directions concerning drainage in the Town.This will provide better drainage in the entire town. The board meets on an as needed basis during the summer to oversee the plans agreed upon in the annual spring meeting.
The board addresses the current needs, requests from individual residents, and plans for the future.
