Mayor Fenty Names Two Appointments to Public School Modernization Advisory Committee

The Fenty Administration met another one of its 100 Days and Beyond goals with the appointment of Paul Chistolini and Terry Goings to the School Modernization Advisory Committee, as required by the “School Modernization Financing Act of 2005.”

Paul Chistolini, a Ward 3 resident, retired from the federal government in 2004 and is currently engaged in a variety of volunteer activities. Before his retirement, he was employed as the deputy commissioner of the Public Buildings Service. In this position, he coordinated national activities associated with all real property operations for an inventory of more than 300 million square feet of owned and leased space in more than 900 communities across the country.

Terry Goings, a native Washingtonian and graduate of Calvin Coolidge High School, is a long-time and well respected resident of Ward 4, participating in numerous civic and neighborhood organizations. He is president of the Calvin Coolidge High School PTSO and a board member of the Georgia Avenue Collaborative. With significant ties to the Lamond-Riggs community, Goings is president of Friends of the Lamond Recreation Center, a trustee of the Lamond-Riggs Civic Association and chairman of the Lamond Community Development Corporation. In addition, he serves as a head deacon at Jeremiah Baptist Church.
