One of EAC’s top priorities is providing assistance to election officials. EAC has issued guidance, advisories and best practices to help them comply with HAVA and make other election administration improvements and enhancements.

UPDATE: Amount of HAVA Funds Disbursed by State

HAVA Funds

States are required to submit periodic reports about HAVA expenditures, as well as other election administration data. Go here for more information about the reporting schedule, proper use of HAVA funds, and to access online reporting forms. The EAC recently adopted an advisory opinion process regarding the use of HAVA funds. Go here to view pending Advisory Opinion Requests (inquiries about HAVA funds). Issued Advisory Opinions are available here.

Resources

To further assist election officials, EAC has released election terminology glossaries in six languages, Election Management Guidelines, Quick Start Guides, and poll worker manuals. Election officials can also go here to view additional resources. NOTE: These resources are available at no cost.

Also, visit our voting systems center for information about EAC's certification and test lab accreditation programs. The Voting System Reports Clearinghouse contains reviews and reports submitted by election officials.
