Minister-Counselor for Press and Culture
Under his supervision, the Public Affairs Section carries a varied series of programs with different sectors of the Mexican community, including the press, government, private sector, universities, museums, and cultural organizations.

Press Officer:
The Press Officer, usually known as the Press Attaché, works directly with Mexican, American and international media, and administers the Benjamin Franklin Library. This office provides information for journalists who cover the Embassy or bilateral issues, and disseminates policy documents as well as statements made by officials of the U.S. government.

Cultural Officer:
The Cultural Officer coordinates the activities of the Cultural section of the Embassy. This section is responsible for academic and professional exchanges between the U.S. and Mexico. It coordinates a program of visiting speakers on the most relevant bilateral issues, works with museums and cultural institutions, organizes seminars, and occasionally sponsors cultural events.

This office coordinates an extensive program which brings U.S. experts to Mexico to participate in conferences and seminars.

Office of Professional Exchanges

This office manages professional exchanges, usually in the form of short-term visits to the U.S. to meet with American experts.

This office coordinates programs for U.S. and Mexican museums and cultural organizations, as well as a variety of artistic programs.

The Benjamin Franklin Library and Information Resource Center maintains an extensive collection of books and periodicals on U.S. thought, society, politics, and economics. In addition, the library does sophisticated reference searches using a variety of electronic databases.
