The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Diversion Control, is sponsoring the 14th Pharmaceutical Industry Conference, October 14 & 15, 2009, in Portland, Oregon. The conference will be held at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, 1401 SW Naito Parkway, Portland, Oregon 97201.
The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum to present federal laws and regulations that affect the pharmaceutical industry and to discuss practices to prevent pharmaceutical diversion while minimizing the impact on legitimate commerce.
There is no registration fee for this conference. Due to space limitation and anticipated high attendance, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to two representatives per company or organization. This conference is open only to those entities registered with DEA as a controlled substance manufacturer, distributor, reverse distributor, importer, or exporter. Industry-related associations are welcome to attend. Individuals representing registrants (e.g. outside legal counsel or consultants) are not authorized to attend.
Issues to be addressed at the 2009 conference include the Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act of 2008, pharmaceutical control actions and quotas, regulatory issues, pharmaceutical imports/exports, and others.
To register, the form below should be downloaded, filled out, and sent to DEA via E-mail or fax. Early registration is highly recommended as the hotel reservation cut-off date is September 21, 2009.
