COMPLETION OF ACTIVITIES: THE LATERAL REPATRIATION PILOT PROGRAM SAVES LIVES
The Lateral Repatriation Program-designed as a humanitarian response to the deaths suffered by migrants attempting to cross the Arizona/Sonora desert region-saved lives. There were only four recorded deaths in this high-risk area since the pilot program began on September 8. Dramatically reducing the number of migrant deaths fulfills the intent of the Lateral Repatriation Program to save lives.(complete text)
