To provide an integrated approach to complex environmental resource needs, CERC research studies are staffed with scientists from multiple branches. Within each branch, members have expertise in specialized areas of science. Research study teams integrate varied capabilities to solve the myriad of complex environmental resource issues. All research studies at CERC relate to specific USGS science programs determined by the agency in response to national science needs.
